To do before the movie:

Ali and Zahra are from Iran. Find Iran on a globe or map of the world. Then, look on the internet and find out some things about the country and the children in the country.

Talk about why shoes are important to you.

To do after the movie:

What was it like hearing the language of Ali and Zahra and reading the translation in the subtitles? How would it have been different if the dialogue was dubbed in English (recorded over by other voices)?

Talk about the love between Ali and Zahra and how you can love each other better in your own family.

Pray in thanksgiving to God for what you have and for your family.
