Finding Nemo

Finding Nemo begins with two fish named Marlin and Coral, who are the parents of 400 eggs. They live on the Great Barrier Reef. Some barracudas attack and eat Coral and all the eggs except one. Marlin is left to take care of that one—Nemo. On his first day of school Nemo gets caught by a fisherman. The rest of the story is about his father’s search to find him and bring him home. A blue tang fish named Dory helps him. It is a very exciting story.

“I don’t think Marlin treated his friend Dory with respect. She had a short term memory so he did not value her opinion. Marlin discovered that you should trust your friends and listen to them.”

“I think that the purpose of this movie was to create a film about fish for children in hopes it would make a good profit.”

“I think we can learn that we can stick together and trust each other as a family.”

—Amanda W., age 8
