Prince of Egypt Prince of Egypt is an animated, musical Bible adventure that really brings the story of Moses to life. The Hebrew people are slaves of the Egyptians, and are forced to do hard labor. Moses has been brought up as a son of Pharaoh, but he must learn the truth of who he is and answer God’s call to lead his people to freedom.
“This story shows that God is going to guide you and protect you through everything. He’ll always be there to answer your prayers. My favorite part was when Moses found the burning bush and heard what God wanted of him.” —Victoria T., age 12 “By watching this movie, families can learn that people who join together can do anything they believe in with the help of God. This movie helped me understand the Bible story.” —Rebecca K., age 13 “The characters in the story learned to listen to God and to other people. I wish Ramses had listened to Moses right away. Then his son wouldn’t have died.” —Hilary B., age 10 “I liked it because it followed the Bible. I learned that people should be treated fair.” —Connor T., age 8
To do before the movie: Talk about what you can remember of the story of Moses from the Bible. To do after the movie: How did Moses change when he found out he wasn’t born to the Pharaoh, but to a slave? How did Moses’ family feel before Moses found out? Afterward?
